    • At all levels of play, videos highlights are an important aspect of the recruiting & scouting process. Coaches and agents evaluate players’ performances on daily bases by watching hundreds of videos. Most of the times, athletes mail or email coaches and agents their highlight video(s) to help improve their chance of getting exposed. Keep in mind that coaches and agents receive 100s of videos on weekly bases, which is why WeGotPlayers.com™ highly recommends working with a professional to ensure you stand out with a high quality video that won’t get lost like most other do.

A high-quality professional highlight video should start with a quick 10 to 20 seconds description of the players themselves.  Why? That way coaches and agents get a feeling of the player’s personality which is very important in the long run in case they may end up working together. The video series of clips should be lasting between 5-10 minutes. Coaches & agents know that the videos they received or they request include clips picked out by the player which is why backing up the highlight clips with additional full or partial game footage is also important. This allows the coaches & agents to see what you are doing throughout the entire game. They want to see good players who are consistent throughout the whole 90 minute games.

WeGotPlayers.com™ provides services for editing players’ videos. We can create videos for players and help them get the exposure they need in order to play at the next level. For example future college recruits need a different video than a player who is trying to go pro. We understand what coaches and agents are looking for in a player and our ultimate goal is to connect these wonderful and talented players with the colleges and teams that they could play for. If you need to contact us for prices or services on editing videos, please don’t hesitate to send us an email. Our prices for editing are lower than any other video company. All you have to do is send us your tapes or DVD’s and we will do the high quality professional editing for you.

    • What you should know before you upload a soccer/European football video? Make sure that your video is worth watching because there is a lot of competition. Remember, you upload your video to get recruited by college coaches, top agents and scouts from around the world. Some of you will play at the college level and some of you will play professionally. The main goal when posting a video is to show coaches, agents and scouts the best of you.

      Quick Tips & Tricks

      • All soccer/European football videos should be official games or practices and no longer than 10 minutes.
      • The videos must be official games or highlight videos, not skill videos, as NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) rules prohibit the posting of staged performances.
      • Agents and Scouts want to see soccer/European football players performing in official games when they are under pressure and they have high level competition.
      • In your video, you can incorporate an introduction or description of yourself so coaches and agents are able to get a feel of you and your personality.

What are Coaches and Agents looking for in a Player?

WeGotPlayers.com™ has analyzed players throughout the years and after talking to coaches and agents from around the world we established a plan that would be beneficial for future college or professional soccer/European football players. We sincerely hope that our plan helps all the soccer players to develop a strong and competitive mentality from a very young age that will follow them for the rest of their lives. We strongly recommend that each video show some of the following characteristics of a soccer player.

      1. Technique
Today, the very first thing Coaches and Agents are looking for in a soccer/European football player is their first touch and close control of the ball. There are also some scenarios where the players use their second touch as a tackle! We strongly believe that talented players always have their heads up when they are under pressure and receive the ball. They are always looking to make the next pass immediately, accurately and on target. It's all coming down to natural ability.

      2. Speed
After technique the next most important thing is a player's speed. In today's game, coaches, agents and scouts are specifically looking for a quick change of pace, a rapid dynamic sprint that will beat a player, or a penetration that could change the game in an instant. What makes one player shine above the rest is technique combined with speed. These two attributes score the big contracts.

      3. Movement
The next thing Coaches and Agents are looking at is what players actually do when they don't get the ball. Coaches and Agents are looking for the player with his head up, who's moving into space to get the ball, making runs that provide team-mates with options. Real good players always play with a smile on their face. When players step on the field all they want to do is win but some of them will lose. The players who want it more will win because they won't stop fighting. There are also some players who instinctively know where to play the ball, and where their team-mates are or should be on the field. Coaches and Agents are differentiating players by looking for the player who plays the first time pass without always taking an extra touch on the ball; that's awareness.

      4. Character
Now, if you've seen technique, speed and movement, the final piece would be the character or personality of each player. Will they be able to handle playing in front of massive crowds at the big stadiums where 50,000 people will watch them if they will play professionally? Coaches and Agents are always looking for players who are in control. Players who encourage their team-mates, and drive them on will always be leaders and they will never leave anyone behind. As a soccer player you always have to stay hungry to play and have that desire that will take you all the way to success. Soccer/European football is getting more competitive around the world and the players who want to succeed the most are the ones who are going to make it.

      5. The X-Factor
The hard work is only the beginning but what is even harder as time goes on is to be consistent and stay on top. Players might practice very well but in games they don't perform as in practice. One of the answers for that will be the mental toughness which some players don't have. Players can build mental toughness with time and hard work. Scouting for players is a very risky process because sometimes you don't get what you expect; you might get a better or worst player than you actually though. You can never be sure whether a player will be good enough to play at the professional level or not until you take full responsibility and bring him to that level. As an agent the reality will show whether your decision was worth it or not. The worst thing in life is wasted talent, so if you have it, don't ever give up your hopes and dreams. Work hard until you make them happen. And when you make it happen, always stay hungry and play every game like it is your last. Now it is all in your hands so go on and make history. Good luck to all of you.

    • WeGotPlayers.com™ provides a complete college soccer workout plan where we also recognize the numerous challenges athletes deal with. We are confident that this program touches on many different aspects to prepare athletes for the upcoming season. This summer program is broken down into 8 weeks. In doing this, it allows you to:

      Get adequate recovery days.
Participate in summer league soccer games.
Work or attend summer school and enjoy your time off.

However, don't let this program mislead you; you must do ALL of it at maximum intensity. The first 3 weeks are demanding, but as you progress you will obviously find it easier. As you approach the final weeks, the program tapers off so you can be ready for preseason and to peak during the fall.

Days that you feel energetic, do a little bit more, but try to keep away from long distance running, it is not soccer related and will do very little to prepare you for the intensity at which college games are played. Develop a training mentality and use the off days to do absolutely nothing. Keep in mind running a few laps at a track starting in August and juggling a ball with your friend is not going to cut it, nor will playing in two summer league games a week, so get out there and light it up!!!

This is also the best time to start paying attention to your nutrition.

      1. Make sure you are properly hydrated during your summer workouts.
      2.
Start to consider the foods you eat as the substances that fuel your performance.
      3.
Keep away from fatty fast foods and sodas.
      4.
Start to integrate lean grilled meats and fish into your diet, along with complex carbohydrates.

As always there are questions surrounding the logistics of this workout packet. Primarily they are questions involving how to plan your workouts around games or if you miss a day or summer vacations. These should not be excuses as to why you are not training. We understand these issues, and can only offer the following as advice:

"We cannot give you a full blown course on human physiology, but you need to understand the basics of how your body works and what it is capable of doing during the stresses of training. If you are playing and you have a demanding game, then recover the next day and pickup the program accordingly."
