Why Play Sports

  • 13 Oct, 2015

I grew up in Eastern Europe playing sports at a very young age. Soccer or football as we call it in Europe, was by far the most dominant sport. So of course, I felt in love with the beautiful game at age 6. In a way I could say that I’ve specialized early and all I did was playing soccer from there on. Looking back I probably should have tried to play a few other sports just to help me develop different muscles, develop different skills and get better body mechanics. But at the time I was so HAPPY and that is all it mattered at the moment. I have no regrets. Anyways, regardless of the sport or level you choose to play, make sure you HAVE FUN while COMPETING at your best. You have to choose your sport when you feel ready.

The first thing is to love your sport. Never do it to please someone else. It has to be yours.

Playing sports changed my life and everything I have and do today is because of sports. I’ve meet and made lots of friends in many different places. All that because we’ve shared something powerful that we had in common. I always loved to compete and playing soccer offered me that safe, educational, challenging and social environment that I could develop and grow as a person. Soccer shaped my character and thought me new life time values and most importantly keep me out of the streets and troubles.

How can someone ignore all the benefits and advantages sports has to offer? Especially for those who are not as active. Playing sports keep you proactive and it stimulates a players’ brain development. Sports also allows players to exercise, stay healthy, develop great attitudes and a strong character. How can I ignore the social life that can be developed in such a safe learning environment.

Our team has put a short video for you to view and share with all those who want to see the true advantages of playing sports. Please don’t hope that if you play a sport and you are really good at it you will get a scholarship or pro contract. If that ever happens, GREAT. But don’t hope for it. There are lifetime values that sports will teach and instill in our children to better prepare them for life. Anything extra is welcomed.

I hope you enjoyed watching the video and feel free to share it or leave your comments. If there are any other advantages that you feel it could help our community, please share them with us. Remember to love your sport, choose it yourself, have fun and always compete.
